American College Application Campaign - #WhyApply
#WhyApply social media campaign - Successfully created and led the growth of the #WhyApply social media campaign from 5.3 million impressions in 2017 to 13 million impressions in 2020. A social media toolkit was provided to ACAC state campaigns and an op-ed was featured in Forbes magazine.

From Facebook to Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, each year sees a full range of inspiring photos and videos. The creativity and excitement of the day is strong and a reminder as to why we help students navigate the college-going process. We also hosted a #WhyApply Twitter chat on Sept. 10 with Common App, Reach Higher, myOptions and the American School Counseling Association to discuss how best to support students through the college application process during a pandemic.

Newsletter Management
Provided content development, project management, editing and distribution of the Michigan College Access Network's bi-weekly newsletter from 2011 - 2018 and the American College Application Campaign's bi-monthly newsletter from 2016 - 2021.

Event Coordination and Planning
Coordinated and organized the Michigan College Access Network's annual statewide conference starting as a one-day event with 100 attendees in 2011 to a two-day event with 500+ attendees in 2019. Responsibilities included managing keynote selection, registration, agenda development, staff roles, vendor relations, and communications.

Launched two new webinar series for the American College Application Campaign state coordinators and host site coordinators, reaching anywhere from 400 - 1,000 registrants per webinar.

Publication Management
Over the years working with the Michigan College Access Network, Lisa King Consulting led the design and production process of numerous publications including annual reports (2011- 2017), the first and second editions of Charting the Course: A Community's Guide for Increasing Educational Attainment Through the Lens of Collective Impact, State of the State Surveys, and the K-12 College-Going Culture Toolkit. The process typically involved managing the writing and editing process and working with a design agency for layout and design.

Since 2016, develop, edit and proofread American College Application Campaign resources for state campaign coordinators and host site coordinators.

Managed the writing, editing and layout of the National College Attainment Network's white paper, College Access and Success Strategies That Promote Early Awareness in Middle-Level Grades.
Website Creation, Support and Development
Lisa King Consulting has provided website management, development and redesign for a number of organizations. From 2010 - 2018, Lisa King provided website updates, content creation, and blogs for the Michigan College Access Network website in Joomla. Additionally, Lisa King led the project timeline and content development for the redesign of Michigan AfterSchool Association website and creation of Michigan Promise Zones Association, both in WordPress. She currently manages the website content for the American College Application Campaign in WordPress.

Rebranding Project - CAS 835
Our group was tasked with selecting a brand that had recently faltered to provide a rebranding plan. Part I focused on the brand audit and analysis and Part II focused on rebranding strategies and tactics.

Strategic Communications Plan - CAS 827
Our group was tasked with developing and presenting a strategic plan for an organization of our choice. The full project included identifying organizational goals and problem statement, situation analysis, target audience identification, and developing communication objectives, strategies and tactics, and evaluation plan.

Breastfeeding Persuasion Paper - CAS 828
The final assignment for the persuasion course required an essay outlining five ways in which persuasive communicators can inoculate against resistance. I chose the topic of persuading mothers to breastfeed at least a minimum of six months which each child.
